The Board for plant varieties will increase its fees

The Board for Plant Varieties will increase its fees by 6.5% on January 1, 2025

This applies to both the fees for an application for listing and/or plant breeders’ rights, as well as the fees for variety testing.

This indexation is necessary due to the increase in personnel and other costs. This is an inflation adjustment. With this fee adjustment, the Board can continue to operate on a cost-covering basis.

The fees were established in consultation between Naktuinbouw and the Board and then approved by the Ministry of LVVN.

This harmonisation will make it easier for applicants to submit either a national application or a CPVO application, as the information can simply be copied from one application to the other. Recently, a number of additional TQs have been harmonized.
